Hydraulic energy enables the production of electricity in hydroelectric power stationsthrough the force of the water.
This force is dependent on the height of the water fall (high or medium fall stations), or the flow of rivers and streams (wire the center of the water).
Hydraulic energy depends on the water cycle. It is the most important source of renewable energy.
Under the action of the sun, the oceans and the earth evaporates. It condenses into clouds that move with the wind. The temperature drop above the continents causes precipitation that feeds the water of lakes, rivers and oceans.
A hydraulic unit consists of 3 parts:
- The barrage that holds water.
- The central that produces electricity.
- The electrical lines that evacuate and transport electrical energy.
