Wind energy is an energy source that depends on the wind. The sun heats
the Earth unevenly, creating zones of different temperatures and atmospheric
pressure around the globe. These pressure differences arise from the movement
of air, called wind. This energy is used to produce electricity in wind
turbines, thanks to the strength of the wind.
A wind turbine is composed of 4 parts:
- the mast
- The propeller
- The nacelle containing the electricity generator alternator
- Electric lines that evacuate and transport electrical energy (when connected to the network)
Down the
windmill Middle Ages, the first wind turbine was commissioned in Franch at
Dunkerque in 1990.
